Jigs and fixtures

Jig and Fixture Machining for Production Lines

Send the fixture drawing or the part it has to hold. We design if needed, machine, assemble and check it before shipping. Reply within 24 business hours.

Do you need fixture design or just machining?

Tick what applies. It tells us whether to quote machining only or design and build.

Fixtures we make

  • Machining fixtures
  • Welding jigs
  • Assembly fixtures
  • Inspection and check fixtures
  • Drill jigs
  • Soft jaws and vise inserts
  • Pallet and tombstone fixtures
  • Go and no-go gauges

Locating comes first, clamping second. Most fixture problems come from clamping on a surface that is not supported.

Dedicated or modular fixture?

Both hold the part. The difference is how many parts the fixture will see and how often it changes.

Dedicated fixture

Built for one part, with locators and clamps exactly where that part needs them.

  • Fastest loading and best repeatability
  • Right for long running parts
  • New fixture when the part changes

Modular fixture

Standard base with exchangeable locators, or zero-point plates with part-specific tops.

  • One base serves many parts
  • Lower cost per new part
  • Slightly slower loading

Typical fixture materials

What fixtures are usually made of and why. These are typical choices, not promises. Your quote lists the material for each component.

MaterialUsed forTypical note
Aluminum 6061 / 7075Bases, plates, light fixturesLight, fast to machine, anodized
Steel 1018 / S235Welding jigs, framesRigid, weldable, low cost
Tool steel D2 / O1Locating pins, wear pads, gaugesHardened 58 to 62 HRC

Where our fixtures work

Tell us the machine, the process and the cycle time. The fixture is built around them.

CNC machining

Multi-part fixtures, tombstones and soft jaws.

Welding

Jigs that hold frames square while they cool.

Assembly

Nests and presses for manual and automatic stations.

Quality control

Check fixtures and gauges for first article and production.

Automotive

Fixtures for brackets, housings and welded assemblies.

Electronics

Test and assembly nests for boards and housings.

How it works

You send the problem. We take it from drawing to delivery and keep you informed at each step.

  1. Send your files

Fixture drawing, or the part drawing plus the machine and process it runs on.

  2. We review and quote

We check locating, clamping and access, then quote design and build or machining only.

  3. We produce and inspect

Components machined, hardened where needed, assembled and checked with a sample part when available.

  4. We deliver

Fixture with inspection report, spare wear parts on request and the 3D model.

What drives the price of a fixture

Five things decide most fixture quotes.

  • Design workA finished fixture drawing costs nothing extra. Designing from the part does.
  • Number of parts per loadFour parts on one tombstone means four sets of locators and clamps.
  • Clamping typeManual clamps are cheap. Hydraulic or pneumatic clamping adds parts and plumbing.
  • Hardened componentsPins and wear pads in tool steel need heat treatment and grinding.
  • AccuracyTighter locating tolerances need more precise machining and checking.

Questions customers ask

Something else? Email .

Can you design the fixture from my part?

Yes. Send the part drawing or model, the machine and the operation. We propose locating and clamping in 3D for your approval before we machine anything.

Do you test the fixture before shipping?

When you send sample parts, we load them in the fixture and check location and clamping. Without samples, we check every locating feature against the drawing.

Which clamping can you supply?

Manual toggle and screw clamps, swing clamps, hydraulic and pneumatic clamping and zero-point systems. Tell us the brand your plant uses and we design around it.

Do I get the fixture model?

Yes. You receive the 3D model and drawings so you can order wear parts or copies later.

Do you make the fixtures yourselves?

Production runs at partner shops we have audited for this kind of work. We stay responsible for the order: we review the drawing, pick the shop, follow production, inspect before shipping and deliver to you. You deal with one contact and one purchase order.

Can you sign an NDA first?

Yes. Tick the NDA box on the quote form and we sign one with you before anyone outside our team opens your files. Every partner on the project works under the same terms.
